Acclimatization:
We recommend you be in Cusco at least 2 days before your trek to be acclimatized to Cusco’s altitude so that you won’t have a problem during the tour.

We will pick you up from your hotel between 4:30 to 5:00; then we will travel for 4 hours to Soraypampa (3850 m.a.s.l.). In Soraypampa, we will have a delicious breakfast to start the day well before starting our trek. In Soraypampa, we will start a walk to the Humantay lagoon (4200 m.a.s.l.) with beautiful views, and if the sky is clear enough, we will see the impressive Salkantay and Humantay snow-capped mountains.

This walk will take you 1 hour and 30 minutes to the lagoon with medium and moderate difficulty, but it will all be worth it when you appreciate the magnificent view of this natural wonder. It is also possible to rent a horse if you don’t want to walk. Once in the Humantay lagoon, we will have enough time to take photos and even make an offering to the Apus. After some free time, we will begin our descent to Soraypampa of approximately 1 hour, which will naturally be much easier than the ascent. In Soraypampa lunch will wait for us and after a break, we will return to Cusco where we will arrive around 5 pm.
