The province of Huaraz, located in the department of Ancash, is the favorite destination for lovers of nature, adventure, and challenges. In addition, it has many of the most beautiful lagoons in all of Peru. One of them is Laguna 69, a natural paradise that exhibits dream landscapes characteristic of the Andes.

It is called “Laguna 69” because this number came to him when the authorities counted the small and large lakes in the region. It is considered a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco, as well as being a Natural World Heritage Site. Thanks to the impressive snow-capped Chacraraju, its water is fed only in the thawing season.

We will pass by your hotel with our bus to move to the north of Huaraz, through the Callejón de Huaylas, where we will have the opportunity to pass through beautiful towns such as Yungar, Mancos, Carhuaz, Yungay (Camposanto de Yungay).

From the city of Yungay, we will take the detour that will take us to the foothills of the Cordillera Blanca; in this way we will begin our ascent to the Llanganuco Gorge, we will observe the famous lagoons of Llanganuco (3,850 masl), we will make a brief stop to take souvenir photos, and finally, we will arrive at Cebollapampa (3,900 masl).

From here begins our walk of about 3 hours to reach the 69 lagoon (4,600 masl); on the way, we will observe spectacular landscapes, a variety of flora and fauna, and a good view of the snow: Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Yanapaccha, Pisco, Chacraraju (6 112 m). 30-minute visit, there will be time to rest and take pictures.

After we return to Cebollapampa, our vehicle will be waiting to move to the city of Huaraz.
