In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel to take you to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a lush agricultural region created by the Urubamba River and an essential source of food for the Incas, which supplied the city of Cusco with a majority of their production to this day!
After traveling 1 hour and a half from Cusco, our first point of the visit is the archaeological center of Pisac, located in the upper part of the mountain. Then we will descend in our bus to the modern Andean market of Pisac, located in the City of the Same Name.
After that, we head to the Ollantaytambo fortress located within the Sacred Valley. This archaeological center is the best living example of the streets, houses built on Inca stones, and the Inca engineering of past times. This site is much admired for its huge rocks, located on top of the mountain, which in past times was a great bastion of defense against the conquerors.
Later, you can have your lunch at one of the local restaurants in Ollantaytambo on your own, and then we will go to the Perolniyoc waterfall; for this, we will drive 20 minutes to the town of Socma, from where the walk to the Perolniyoc waterfall begins. The tour lasts about an hour until you reach the foot of this beautiful waterfall that has a drop of more than one hundred meters. Above the waterfall, there is an attractive Inca archaeological center, “Raqaypata” it is optional to visit this place. (It’s over thirty minutes of an extra hike)
